Terms and Conditions

General 

These Terms and Conditions outline the Duuo Referral Program (the ‘Referral Program’ or the ‘Program’) offered by Co-operators General Insurance Company (‘Duuo by Co-operators’, or ‘Duuo’). The program is available to current Duuo by Co-operators property manager partners who receive an offer from Duuo to participate in the Program.  

The Duuo Referral Program provides a Referral Bonus, in the form of an Amazon gift card, to property managers who refer an Eligible New Building (“Referrer”) when the Eligible New Building is registered on the Duuo partnership platform. The property manager of the Eligible New Building (“Referee”) is also eligible to receive a Referral Bonus subject to the conditions below.  

THERE IS NO OBLIGATION TO PURCHASE INSURANCE BY PARTICIPATING IN THE REFERRAL PROGRAM OR RECEIVING THE REFERRAL BONUS. 

The Referral Program expires December 31, 2025. 

Eligibility Conditions: 

• An “Eligible New Building” means a: 

• • high-rise building (6+ stories) and have 10 or more tenants move in annually, and   

• • the building must not already exist in the Duuo partnership platform.  

• The Referrer is eligible to receive one Referral Bonus per Eligible New Building their referral registers on the Duuo partnership platform.  

• The Referee must include the Referrer’s name on their building registration form.  

• The Referee is eligible to receive one Referral Bonus per Eligible New Building they register on the Duuo partnership platform. 

Participants in the Referral Program are strictly prohibited from engaging in fraud, misrepresentation, and/or illegal acts. In order to be eligible to participate in the Referral Program, Referrers and Referees must be the age of majority in their province or territory of residence, provide a valid email address and may be subject to additional identity verification and fraud mitigation procedures. Duuo may at any time and in its sole discretion determine that a participant is not eligible to participate in the Program if Duuo suspects fraudulent behavior or is unable to verify a participant’s identity or are unable to communicate with a participant through the email address provided. 

Referral Bonus: 

The Referral bonus is a $50 Amazon eGift Card.  The reward will be emailed to the Referrer and Referee, using the same email addresses provided on the Referral Page, after the Referee registers at least one Eligible New Building. Rewards will be emailed as soon as possible but please allow for up to 30 days after the completion of a qualified referral. You are responsible for any and all tax liability resulting from referral rewards. 

No cash or other substitution permitted. The Referral Bonus is nontransferable.  

The maximum total value of referral rewards is limited to $200 for Referees. The maximum total value of referral rewards is limited to $1000 for Referrers.   

Electronic Communication:  

By using your email address, you agree that Duuo by Co-operators may contact you via email or other communication related to the Referral Program. Duuo will only send one email message to each Referee relating to the Referral Program. You may opt-out of electronic communications related to the Referral Program at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link included in the electronic communication. Please note that should you choose to opt-out of electronic communications related to the Referral Program you will no longer be eligible to participate in the Referral Program. 

Protection of Personal Information 

By participating in the Program, each Referrer and Referee consents to the collection, use, disclosure, and retention of their personal information for the purposes of administering the Program and Referral Bonus fulfillment.

Governing Law:  

These Terms and the Program shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and country of Canada. 

Right to cancel program or change terms: 

We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to cancel this Referral Program or to change the Terms & Conditions at any time, by posting updated terms here. Any unclaimed referral rewards will be forfeited when Duuo cancels the Referral program. Terms & conditions are effective as of March 1, 2025.
